Dashboard & Reporting

The IdentityCenter dashboard gives you an at-a-glance view of your identity environment's health, compliance status, and key metrics. Navigate to the Dashboard after logging in to see it.

Dashboard Overview

The main dashboard is divided into several sections:

Key Metrics Cards

At the top, you'll see summary cards showing:

Active Users Users with enabled accounts
Disabled Users Users with disabled accounts
Total Groups Number of synchronized groups
Total Computers Number of domain-joined computers
Open Violations Policy violations needing attention

Sync Status

  • Last sync time for each connection
  • Number of objects synced in the last run
  • Any sync errors or warnings
  • Next scheduled sync time

A summary of your compliance posture:

  • Active access review campaigns and their completion percentage
  • Policy violations by severity (critical, high, medium, low)

IdentityCenter includes built-in reports for common compliance and operational needs.

Generating Reports

  1. Navigate to Reports from the main menu
  2. Select the report type
  3. Configure parameters:
    • Date range
    • Scope (all users, specific department, specific group)
    • Format (on-screen, PDF, CSV)
  4. Click Generate
  5. View the report on screen or download it

Exporting Data

Most views in IdentityCenter support data export:

  • CSV Export — Download data as a spreadsheet-compatible file
  • PDF Reports — Formatted reports suitable for auditors
  • On-Screen — View and filter data directly in the browser

Tip: For SOX audits, generate the Access Review Summary and Attestation Report together. These two reports provide the complete evidence trail auditors need.

Using Reports for Compliance

SOX Compliance

SOX requires quarterly access reviews with documented approval chains. Use these reports:

  1. Access Review Summary — Shows campaign completion rates and timelines
  2. Attestation Report — Proves each reviewer made a conscious decision
  3. Remediation Report — Shows that revocations were actually implemented

PCI DSS

PCI requires regular access reviews for cardholder data environments. Generate:

  1. Privileged Access Report — Document who has admin access
  2. Policy Compliance Report — Show compliance rule enforcement
  3. Stale Account Report — Prove inactive accounts are cleaned up

ISO 27001

ISO requires evidence of access control and periodic review:

  1. User Inventory — Complete identity registry
  2. Group Membership — Access rights documentation
  3. Access Review Summary — Periodic review evidence

Customizing the Dashboard

Widgets

The dashboard can be customized to show the metrics most important to your role:

  • Security-focused — Prioritize violations, privileged access, and risk scores
  • Operations-focused — Prioritize sync status, job health, and error counts
  • Compliance-focused — Prioritize review progress, deadlines, and attestation rates

Refresh Interval

Dashboard data refreshes automatically. The sync status and metrics update each time a sync completes or a policy evaluation runs.

Best Practices

  1. Check the dashboard daily — Make it your morning routine to review the health overview
  2. Address critical violations immediately — Don't let critical findings linger
  3. Generate compliance reports monthly — Don't wait for the audit to compile evidence
  4. Export reports to a shared location — Keep copies outside of IdentityCenter for disaster recovery
  5. Use the AI Chat for ad-hoc queries — The dashboard shows summaries; use ChatHub for specific questions
